About Mason Merrell — Atlantis Development
I'm Mason Merrell, founder and lead developer of Atlantis Development
in Pampa, Texas. I build websites, mobile apps, and custom software for
small businesses across the Texas Panhandle.
My Story
My path into software didn't start with software. Early in my career I
worked in the swimming pool industry, eventually landing a role as a QA
tester for one of the most popular pool service route management
applications on the market. That job pulled back the curtain on how
software actually gets built, tested, and shipped — and I was hooked.
I decided to commit fully and start learning to code. My first real
stretch as a developer was managing and building custom applications
for an HR consulting membership service — tools like an employee
handbook creator, a job description writer, and an interview question
generator. Each project taught me how to translate real business
problems into software people actually use.
Ten years in, I'm still learning. The AI revolution has changed the
game, and I've leaned into these new tools to deliver better work,
faster — for my own projects and for every client I take on. Whether
it's a brand-new build, an upgrade to an aging system, or a problem
nobody else has been able to crack, I'm in.
